More then 3000 Amcrest recorders are connected to the Internet

There are more then this. This number is only the ones that have Amcrest as part of the name and in the USA I didn’t do all countries and this don’t include the devices that are Amcrest however have Dahua in the listing. When you look at the devices some of them are Amcrest by Serial number and have other things that show they are Amcrest like SSL or other factors. These results are in the last week and I don’t know what day the Spider crawled for the data. Some of these devices are with older FW..

Not a good idea to have your Recorder on the Internet just waiting for some troll to try and harm it. This is something I might post on my own website but thought there are just to many devices with some of them being newer systems even. With all the P2P and 3rd party tunnel services like NGROK or ServeO there is no reason to expose the device that should bring peace of mind. This list is how it came out. Why would you put your system out there for the trolls to play with. Doing so exposes so much even without having to look much more then the data collected from the Spider.
