If you own IPM-723 from Amcrest

Personally this camera should be removed from service if you still own this camera, I would at least make sure that you are not connecting this directly to the Internet. I wouldn’t port forward the RTSP port at all with this camera.

I had a friend that asked me to look at his camera that he has had for years, because the lens has become water logged and needed it fixed. After getting the thing cleaned up and adding in a new Gel pack for him. I took it back and he added it back to where he had it installed. I was then told it was working and found that he had it connected to the internet for remote access. Asked him if I could do some testing and after what I showed him he figured it was time for a different camera.

After Downloading NGROK and installing it for him I showed him how to use it so he could have access to his camera without having it out for the world to see.. He is no longer forwarding the ports to the internet.

There are 20 of these cameras in the USA that are connected to the internet. If you read this and you are one of them please use NGROK or one of the other alternative service that fits your needs like Pagekite, Localtunnel, Frrp, Loophole or Tailscale to name a few.
